Red Bubbles *o*O*0o

One of my passions is Art. I love Art. Paintings, sketches, photography, sculptures. It doesn't matter what it is. I love it.

A few years ago I started the painting posted on the left. As you can see, I am yet to finish it.

The unpainted circles that you see are the struggle. It's hard to tell by this picture, but I have the circles coming out of the belt and swirling around the tummy. Initially I wanted to paint them into bubbles that had a rainbow effect as bubbles naturally do.

This debate is never ending. I have been thinking of doing them  red. Strictly red. I'm so indecisive.

Has Google Failed Me?!

WTF! I have been Googling (my favourite verb in the whole world) Lip Spackle for the last 30 minutes and it appears that it cannot be purchased in Ontario or Québec. Or Canada for that matter? What's up with that!?

My baby sister is a Makeup Artist (hello, prominent makeup gene). One night I was Googling some sort of makeup that she was telling me about and I ended up finding a small blurb about Lip Spackle somewhere throughout one of the websites that I was reading.

Anyway, I am aching to try it but I can't find it in a store!! Or anywhere around me!! I think that it can be purchased on Ebay, however, I don't shop on Ebay because the last time I did; someone in Italy (ITALY!!) stole my identity (JUST UP AND OUT OF NO WHERE STOLE IT!!) and decided that he (HE!!) was going to start purchasing random nonsense online as ME (ME!!) with MY credit card (WTF!!)! Ebay did this crazy investigation (thank goodness) and ended up having to reimburse me for the items that he purchased. So now I'm absolutely terrified to go back onto Ebay (I can't even begin to explain just how terrified!!). True story (The End).

So, seriously...I am on a mission to find some Spackle. I can understand not selling it in Ottawa, but it's not in Toronto either. Québec houses Montréal which is one of the fashion/makeup capitals of the world and I can't even find the Spackle there. I can't even seem to find a Spackle website...

The mission will continue until I find that little pot of goodness. Hopefully it comes to Canada!!

Please Note: Stealing someones identity is not only a crime but just not cool at all.

Spackle out.

Liplicious! It's Vicious!

I love all things makeup and have spent a small (but probably large) fortune on makeup in my 29 years of existance. Well, 13 years of makeup existance because I wasn't allowed to wear it until I was 16. Crazy, I know...

Anyway, I was shopping at the Devonshire Mall in Windsor on Boxing Day and discovered this cute little tube of heavenly balm on a shelf at Bath and Body Works. There were tons of them there so I assumed that it wasn't such a good product. I like to try new things; things that most people wouldn't dare try, so I purchased the little bitty that you see on the left. I just had to...it was the Tawnalicious thing to do.

One end consists of a brown sugar lip scrub and the other end is a mango colada tinted/scented lippy. There were a couple different tints and scents but the mango was appealing to me because it would sync well with my skin tone.
I have to admit, the sugar lip scrub tripped me out a bit. I didn't think that sugar would do anything to my lips but make them sticky. It just seemed bizarre. I was totally weirded out. But I tried it...

The directions say to lick your lips after you smoosh them together with the sugar scrub. I'm not down with licking my lips at all so I just blot the excess sugar off with a bit of tissue before applying the mango goodness. There is no stickiness involved. There is however, some sort of softener in with the sugar that makes your lips silky smooth. Top it off with the tinted side and your lips will be a kissable cushion all day long.

I'm telling you, I love my lip medex but it appears that we have a new lippy favourite in town. It is a tube of goodness that every chick muuuuust have!!

When Life Throws you a Lemon...

Add a bit of sugar and water to make lemonade.

I am having the worst week of my life. Nothing is going right. Everything that can possibly go wrong is certainly doing so. I want to break down and cry. Seriously.

I was trying to put it all off onto the "winter blues" but, no. It's nothing blue. It's just this week.

So, I will suck it up and carry on as I always do. A few months from now, I will reminisce on this week and laugh it all off because I always seem to make it!

Honestly though, I am so happy that today is hump day. Only two more days until the weekend! I can't wait...

-35. Seriously?

You know, I can handle the winter. I don't like it at all, but I can handle it - given that the temperature doesn't decrease past something like, -10. So I thought.

We woke up this morning to -35 degrees. That's just ridiculous. It was a bitter cold. Nasty. Just plain nasty. Our trucks were frozen solid. They were big huge hunks of frozen solid steel that didn't want to budge. Finally they decided to give in and start. Absolutely unbelievable.

How do the penguins handle this nonsense in the South? How do the polar bears handle it in the North?

Clearly, CLEARLY, I am not cut out for winter.

I want to hibernate.

Oh and with the bitter cold came...the chappy. I kick the chappy.

Woe is me.

Cold.

Brrr.
